Title case rules (AP style)
Capitalize the following words in title case:
- ✅ The first and last word — Always capitalize regardless of word type
- ✅ Nouns, verbs, adjectives, adverbs — run, jump, blue, quickly
- ✅ Pronouns — he, she, it, they, we, you
- ✅ Subordinating conjunctions — because, although, since, unless
Do NOT capitalize (unless first or last word):
- ❌ Articles — a, an, the
- ❌ Short prepositions (3-4 letters) — in, on, at, for, with, of, to, by, up, for, via
- ❌ Coordinating conjunctions — and, but, or, so, nor, for, yet

Quick reference: words to lowercase in title case
Articles: a, an, the
Short prepositions (3-4 letters): in, on, at, for, with, of, to, by, up, for, via, into, onto, upon
Coordinating conjunctions: and, but, or, so, nor, for, yet
Exception: Capitalize these words if they are the first or last word of the title.
Example: "The Quick Brown Fox Jumps Over the Lazy Dog" — "The" is first word, "Dog" is last word, both capitalized. "the" in the middle is lowercase.
